Careful Storage of Sunless Solution

Norvell Sunless Spray Solution is a specially formulated and carefully balanced chemical recipe for providing the very best, most natural looking tan color possible, right out of the bottle. You will get excellent results with normal use under most common conditions. However if the product is miss-handled or stored improperly its performance can be adversely effected. Very much like food products that must be stored carefully to maintain freshness, such as salad dressing or ketchup. Norvell Sunless Solution should be handled carefully to maintain its performance, consistency, and color. Following a few basic steps can eliminate product performance issues.

There are several key factors that can have drastic detrimental effects on the results obtained using a DHA solution:

1. HEAT: The solution should be stored in a cool, temperature controlled environment. Maintain a maximum temperature of 75†– 80† for long -term storage. Repeated or prolonged storage at high temperature will destroy the products tanning effectiveness. Refrigerating the solution after it has been opened is recommended. Technicians who intend to travel with their product should take along as little product as possible and never leave them in a hot car. We suggest transporting them in a commercial cooler to maximize effectiveness.

2. Exposure to light: Due to the natural properties of the raw materials in Norvell Spray Sunless Solution, DO NOT store it in direct or indirect sunlight. The solution will NOT spoil from incidental exposure, however repeated or prolonged exposure will reduce the products effectiveness greatly.

3. Contact with Metal: The ingredients that make our solution highly reactive to elements in the skin, making it an affective tanning agent, also make it reactive to contact with metallic objects. Never pour the solution through a metal funnel, stir with a metal spoon, or store in metal containers. Doing so will dramatically reduce the tanning effect of the solution. Only stainless steel is safe for direct contact with the solution. Components of spray on systems are built from stainless steel and will not affect its performance.

4. Oxygenation: Prolonged exposure to air is also detrimental to the effectiveness of DHA solutions. Never leave the cap off of open containers of solution for long periods of time. There is little bacteriological risk from exposure to open air, however extended exposure will reduce the tanning results achieved with the product.Results are based on freshness. DHA based sunless solutions depend on quality and careful handling to assure effectiveness.

1. We order the DHA ingredient shipped via air-freight only one day ahead of manufacture.
2. We insist on receiving a certificate of insurance from the DHA ingredient manufacture guaranteeing the highest levels of purity.
3. We ship the product within one day of its manufacture.
4. We evaluate possible shipping delays before they happen. We do not ship on Fridays to avoid weekend delays and use alternate methods for shipping product long distances.
5. We consider season and climatic conditions during storage and transport to avoid conditions that are detrimental to the product.

Norvell recommends to our distributors that they not use shipping routes of more than two days. They should consider alternate delivery methods when there is a risk of exposing the product to adverse conditions.
