What are the precautions that need to be
taken when adding Wonder Drops?
It is important to understand when you add
Wonder Drops to your Sunless Tanning
Solution you are increasing the
concentration of the instant bronzers, and
that Wonder Drops do not contain DHA.
It is very important to convey to the client
by adding wonder drops only the instant
color effects are increased. The cosmetic
bronzers do offer slight residual color, and
may enhance the tanning results, however a
majority of the color will disappear during
the first shower.
It is important for the Technician to
understand by adding too much Wonder Drops
to your he solution he or she may give the
client a false sense of their spray
tan results. If the instant color
appears darker that the natural color
produced by the DHA, their tan will appear
to fade quickly and the majority of the tan
will wash down the drain with their first
shower. Uneducated clients and
Technicians may produce results such as
this, leaving the client unhappy with their
spray tanning experience, as well as the
technician with the product
performance. Knowing how the Wonder Drops
work can combat any issues that may arise,
and educating customers on what to expect
will keep them happy, referral giving and
coming back for additional tanning sessions
themselves!
Why is there no DHA in Wonder Drops?
1. DHA and Cosmetic Bronzers are
reactive when combined. In high
concentration levels, these two products
become unstable and would “go green” in no
less than 1 week from the date of
manufacture. Keeping the formulation
stable is one of the secretes Norvell had
discovered when manufacturing Sunless
Tanning Solution.
2. Since 1 EverFresh (gallon) box of
Amber Sun Sunless Solution contains
approximately 2 - large heaping measuring
cups of DHA. It would be virtually
impossible to add enough DHA to the small 2
oz. bottle of Wonder Drops to effectively
increase the percentage level of DHA in the
sunless solution to make a difference in
result.
